Systems Engineer (Starting salary range $15- $18 per hour DOE).
This is an hourly employee who reports directly to the Director of Technical Services.
This is a full time contract position.
This position is a combination between a systems engineer and technical sales. This person will be required to answer incoming calls and enter tickets into our tracking system and to communicate clearly what problem the user is encountering. Additionally, they will be expected to handle level one troubleshooting and support which may include hardware repairs and installation, software installation and configuration, password resetting, and building out and deploying new computers as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to install, repair and troubleshoot computer systems and related components in a corporate environment.
Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, weekdays, etc.
At least two years experience working in a professional, corporate environment.
A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Ability to install, repair, and troubleshoot various software applications including the Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum two years experience working in a professional environment with an interest in the Information Technology field.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers the Help Desk incoming phone calls, provides first level support to end users, and utilizes our internal tracking system to create and update service requests.
Contacts vendors in order to obtain price quotes, researches replacement parts, and obtains RMA instructions for equipment that needs to be repaired.
Responsible for performing the preventative maintenance on all desktop systems, including applicable operating system and application updates and patches.
Ensures that department documentation is maintained and that new procedures are adequately documented.
Provides a high level of customer support to all Unique Solutions external clients.
Responsible for compliance with the Unique Solutions internal control policies and procedures as it relates to the stated job description.
Performs other duties as directed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
1.Enjoy primarily working from home using remote tools to support our client base.
2. Available to work Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Also may require availability after hours and weekends. This is an hourly position.
3. Detail oriented, capable of troubleshooting issues before escalating them, and possess excellent communication skills.
4. Dedicated to providing a high level of customer service with a proven track record of going above and beyond to resolve end users requests and issues.
5. Able to follow company and department policies and procedures.
6. Have excellent phone etiquette skills, previous help desk experience a plus.
7. Interested in working with a fun group in an exciting field where you will learn tons and have the opportunity to advance.
8. Must be willing to accept the hiring salary. It is not negotiable.
Technical Sales:
Candidate will also be required to do technical sales to new prospective companies.
