We are currently seeking an experienced and well-rounded IT Professional/Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly technical person who can provide consulting and support for our software products, as well as provide engineering support for other projects as they arise.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting discovery sessions with clients, including providing pre-sales guidance around solutions and components.
Tier 1 support for a Windows Deployment software product suite.
Virtual machine content optimization and processing for re-packaging and distribution.
Interface with both vendors and customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Architecting solutions involving various vendor components.
Implementing solutions in lab environments, including interfacing with additional engineers (both contract and staff).
Supporting solutions after implementation in order to ensure complete, accurate, and high-quality completion of projects.
Required skills include:
Solid technical knowledge and experience with a broad range of Microsoft software, including but not limited to intimate knowledge of all OS SKUs from Windows 2000 forward.
Solid knowledge of Windows Deployment technologies (Windows PE, WAIK, Sysprep, Unattended installations).
Solid knowledge of Windows device drivers, with a thorough understanding of device driver installation file architecture.
Solid systems management experience.
Solid technical knowledge and experience with deployment and operation of virtualization technologies.
Ability to own and drive problem resolution with positive customer satisfaction and active communication.
Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills.
Must be a self-starter, with excellent problem solving skills including good attitude, initiative, and follow-through.
Manage time effectively, completing multiple tasks by deadline in a high-throughput environment.
Other qualifications include:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Certification in Microsoft technologies (MCDBA, MCSE, or other Microsoft equivalent).
3+ years of experience with Windows Deployment.
Knowledge of virtualization required.
Knowledge of industry standard Windows Deployment tools and software a plus (Symantec/Acronis).
Willingness to travel as much as 10% to 20% as needed.
