StriVectin, one of the fastest growing anti-aging skincare brands in America, is hiring a Systems Administrator for a 6 month contract.
Working in our fast paced, rapidly growing company, located in Manhattan, and reporting directly to the Director, IT, the individual in this role will be responsible for the administration of Windows based servers this includes managing information systems in accordance with company best-practices regarding management, security, and regulatory compliance located in our corporate office as well as branch offices, as well as providing helpdesk support as needed.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and possess the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding, detail oriented work environment, while maintaining excellent follow-through. Outstanding communication skills(verbal and written), the ability to present technical data to a non-technical audience, a strong team-spirited attitude, and the ability to maintain professionalism while juggling multiple priorities, are criteria for success in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
Installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Windows Server 2003/2008 systems (Active Directory, DNS, DFS, Group Policy)
Operating system installation, configuration and upgrades,
Administration, proactive monitoring, and remediation of centralized IT management tools: Symantec A/V, OpenManage, WebJet Admin, etc.
Install, configure and support all network and infrastructure equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, LDAP, VPN, and DNS servers)
Perform and monitor daily system backups as well as assist in Disaster Recovery planning and testing
Create and maintain system documentation
Provide on-going root cause analysis assessments on systems infrastructure and create corrective action plans
Schedule and perform hardware/software maintenance for end user hardware, and fill-in at the Helpdesk as needed.
Assist in project planning and implementation
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years “hands on” experience with Windows operation systems, at least 2 of those years must have been in a systems administration role.
Operational knowledge of Windows Server 2003 & 2008
Experience with System Monitoring deployments
Knowledge of network routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, DNS and servers
Experience with planning and executing successful Disaster Recoveries
Scripting experience for the automation of systems tasks is desired but not necessary
Experience with Dell OpenManage and disk storage arrays a plus
Ability to install, configure and maintain SQL databases is a plus
Cisco ASA administration a plus
