Tasks & Responsibilities

• Journey-level technician providing enterprise systems administrative services, such as End-User Support, Desktop Support, and Enterprise Server Administration.

• Provides end-user and infrastructure problem resolution support; identifies and resolves system/server problems; coordinates with application users to determine symptoms and ensure accurate problem definition.
• Provides desktop support, including maintaining desktop configuration for system users, installing and configuring desktop software for local and remote users, installing/replacing/upgrading desktop hardware, diagnosing and repairing desktop configuration issues.
• Provides enterprise server administration, including maintaining enterprise servers, such as Messaging (Exchange), Storage (Filer servers and Storage Area Networks), Security (Domain Controller, Active Directory). Installs, upgrades, replaces server hardware and software. Performs backup and recovery of shared resources.

• Maintains direct knowledge of all system administration and technical processes, procedures, quality standards, and status of service delivery for all system administration-related activities.

Qualifications

1. Satisfactory client references.

2. Two (2) years of progressively complex experience and intermediate-level skill in information systems administration.

3. One (1) year experience and intermediate-level skill and knowledge as a Microsoft Windows System Administrator, including the following:

• Install, configure, troubleshoot Windows 2000/2003 Server and Windows XP Professional Operating Systems
• Install, configure, troubleshoot Windows desktop applications

• Install, configure, troubleshoot Windows server applications, including SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, IIS, .Net, File and Print, Virtualization

• Active Directory, Domain Services, Network Storage

• Remote user, VPN support
• Backup and Recovery

• Microsoft, A+ or equivalent certification

4. Ability to analyze data and situations, identify and solve problems, reason logically and creatively, draw valid conclusions, develop effective solutions, apply creative thinking, and design methods and processes.

5. Effective verbal and written skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with both co-workers and customers or application users.
