This system administrator position will lead the implementation of new software at the client site, in conjunction with key staff, and implement the use of new software for all registration activities. The System Administrator will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software and related infrastructure for the Registration system.
Specifically, the position will:
1. Create and implement road-map to roll-out system in phases.
2. Migrate legacy data from ArtPro, implement QA and QC measures
3. Integrate with legacy systems, Convio, BlackBaud, etc.
4. Identify and implement business process needs, new and existing
5. Provide on-going support to staff, including assisting internal project teams with technical issues in the planning, implementation and training for the registration software.
These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy, technical analysis, and support of personnel in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.
This position requires strong customer service and organizational skills to support administrative personnel, department supervisors, staff, and faculty. This position requires the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Work internally with stakeholders to adapt the new system to the client’s mission and needs, working also with other Consortium members as needed
Participate in ongoing meetings and conference calls with Consortium schools and new software to refine the system.
Work with Registration Department and Finance Department to transition to new system, including input of all new data required.
Assess how best to utilize new system at each campus coordinating with campus staff and program directors to affect registrations.
Work on customer implementation of new system including assessing equipment needed at each campus to support registration.
Maintain good technical documentation.
Once launched, develop and implement staff training in groups and individually, assist in the development of training manuals, identify additional on-going and ad hoc training needs.
Maintain continuous system enhancements, leverage resources and identify risks, coordinating with Consortium, new software and key the client staff.
Maintains excellent communication with the Director of Human Resources on all tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree is required. Minimum of five years of systems/network experience is required. Knowledge of new software, Artpro, and Blackbaud and (MSCE Microsoft Certified Engineer) preferred.
An ideal candidate will have experience of implementing, training and using new software systems as well as CRMs (Customer Relationship Management Systems) and CMSs (Content Management Systems).
Skills and Abilities: Experience setting up and managing database systems. Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills. Several years experience with Windows Server platforms with an emphasis on Active Directory. Strong background in the most current Exchange messaging system. Solid knowledge of LANANAN configurations to include experience with Cisco routers & switches, Internet firewalls, and wireless technology. Basic Windows scripting skills. Maintains quality customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and is a team player with the ability to work well independently. Must possess above average organization skills, and can demonstrate problem solving skills.
