Architect, engineer, and support a cisco-centric network. Identify and remediate internal and external system vulnerabilities.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must have the following:

* At least 7-10 years Network architecture and engineering experience

* 5+ years of Cisco Routing & Switch experience

* CCNP certification or higher

* Very strong Layer 2 & 3 Networking skills: solid HSRP, STP, 802.11, BGP, OSPF, RIP, route re-distribution, multi-homing and engineering for automatic failover

* Strong WAN expertise emphasizing serial link protocols, and Point to Point protocol (PPP) skills

* Familiarity with current multi-tier website architectures including load balancing and failover concepts for web servers, application servers, and database servers, and ecommerce and payment processing applications

* Demonstrated management of alert triggering IDS, firewall, automatic blacklisting of IP’s, and log aggregation and analysis

* Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication abilities, including experience in designing, documenting and writing deliverable plans for enterprise implementations

Ideally, the candidate would also have the following:

* CCIE lab certification

* QoS, EIGRP, DMVPN, MPLS
* Juniper Firewalls

* A10 Load Balancers

* Systems engineering experience in a Red Hat / Centos UNIX environment

* Monitoring design, network analysis and metric reporting to establish bandwidth usage forecasting and network availability SLA

* Working knowledge of authentication methods including LDAP, Two Factors Authentication, RADIUS, TACACS, and RSA.

* Flow analysis experience

* Avaya VOIP

Job Responsibilities

* Architect, engineer, and support VerticalResponse’s enterprise network environment

* Manage and ensure appropriate bandwidth distribution among and between sites

* Manage IP address space including delegation and routing of internal and external IP blocks

* Create and maintain VPN and load balancer configuration

* Take responsibility for all communication coming into our network to ensure network security best practices

* Manage PCI compliance

* Define security levels by identifying and remediating internal and external system vulnerabilities; reduce risk by implementing mitigation controls

* Internal and external vulnerability testing, monitoring and mitigation

* Segmentation of internal networks and management of security zones

* Provide Tier 3 support for Corporate IT VOIP and office networking as needed

* Project and test planning, process documentation, and automation

* Other duties as assigned

This position reports to the Director of Network Engineering in San Francisco.
