Job Title: Senior Windows Systems/Network Administrator

Location: Downtown Seattle, WA

Experience: 5 to 10 years

Type: Full time regular

Start: As soon as possible

Description:

We’re looking for a sharp-as-a-tack “A” player to join our staff. In this role, you’ll be reporting to the VP of Technology and working highly autonomously as you manage, maintain, enhance, and extend existing infrastructure systems. You’ll also assist in the planning and execution of our next generation platform.

The Senior Windows System Administrator provides support to our corporate and medical staff, from our headquarters in downtown Seattle. Our current technology base includes Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server-based VMWare environments, SQL Servers, VoIP and networking systems, Thin Clients, Terminal Services, plus medical device interfaces. A solid, well-rounded and personable IT technologist with deep experience in all primary areas is our goal.

This is an exceptional opportunity for the right person to have a big impact on the growth and functionality of a well-funded young company on the leading edge of primary medical care.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design, plan and execute upgrades and new initiatives.

• Provide Tier 3 operational support to all environments.
• Update knowledge base with problem fixes and system knowledge.
• Maintain, monitor, and document systems to ensure optimal performance, determine system upgrade/replacement schedules, and meet established and new Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments. Establish and report on performance metrics.

Desired Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience working in IT in an enterprise-class Windows Server environment, with significant expertise in the design, implementation and support of VoIP, VMWare, Active Directory, Exchange, Terminal Services, and SQL Server (you do not need programming expertise, just administration expertise).

• Deep knowledge of Active Directory and group policy technologies, automation of new user policies, appropriate security models for multi-location/multi-level organizations.

• Experience creating scripts necessary to automate the deployment of operating systems, patches, service packs, and application upgrades to an enterprise environment.

• Experience analyzing trend data/root cause analysis – not just following symptoms.
• On-call support with other team members.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Totally fluent with routers, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, LAN, WAN, and Internet technologies.

• Fluent administering SQL Server 2005/2008 (backups, security, etc.).

• Very strong skills in network and enterprise security, HIPAA experience a plus.

• Exceptional problem solving and communication skills.

• Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks while under pressure.
• Deep PC server/desktop/laptop hardware expertise (Dell, HP).

The above are minimum requirements. We welcome résumés from candidates with more/broader experience.

Please send résumés to careers@qliance.com, referencing Job 2010-002 in your subject line.
