We are seeking an individual with network engineering and network administration experience. Our company is a small, non-profit organization in the health industry. Our staff acts as a collective IT resource for hospitals, health departments, and government agencies. Our work ranges from management of an ISP and helpdesk to development of sophisticated software for use in Homeland Security efforts. Each support specialist, engineer, and developer on our staff has a wide range of skills with certain areas of expertise. This position will support all aspects of our operation and is not limited to any certain project or section.

At least 5 years pertinent, progressive experience required.

Cisco CCNA certification and Network+, or equivalent experience required.

Experience with the following is preferable:

• Cisco router config and maintenance

• Cisco and Juniper firewall config and maintenance

• IPSEC and Cisco VPN Concentrator 3000 series config and maintenance

• Frame relay WAN config, maintenance and monitoring

• Use of SNMP, syslog and other monitoring techniques

• H323 videoconferencing

• VOIP and Cisco telephony systems

• Windows and Linux server config and maintenance

• Use of Network Sniffers and protocol analysis
• Scripting

In addition to the necessary engineering knowledge and experience, any experience in programming would be a bonus. We encourage engineers on our staff to participate with our programmers on software development projects.
