Skills:
BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience and CCNP certification: 5+ years direct experience required in the management and administration of network infrastructure
Key responsibilities include:
Identification and resolution of hardware, software, or architectural issues in any of the networks supporting the Responsys corporate servers, databases, and application infrastructure
Analyzing network errors or anomalies, as well as specific network performance issues and/or error messages, in order to ensure maximum uptime and service quality and assess trends that may ultimately result in degradation of service
Analyze and configure VOIP network traffic to ensure high quality of service
Working internally within the larger Operations organization to test and implement planned network upgrades / modifications, as well as provide input into long-range networking requirements and operational guidelines, with a focus on improving the performance and reliability of the Responsys corporate network
Formulating and implementing monitoring, policies, procedures and standards relating to network management
Manage and work with 3rd party vendors to procure and maintain network devices, assist in cost analysis to ensure highest value to Responsys
Troubleshooting API and other system issues at a per-packet level via packet trace and sniffer analysis, including the troubleshooting of 3rd party data integration services and/or other Web-enabled solutions
Participation in a 24×7 on-call rotation on a periodic basis; this requires functional knowledge of all Responsys network devices, domain controllers and subsystems outside of the networking layer in order to provide on-call support
Required skills and experience:
BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience and CCNP certification
5+ years direct experience required in the management and administration of network infrastructure – routers, switches, load balancers, SSL acceleration technology, etc. – in a high-availability, 24x7x365 basis
5+ years experience with network protocols for routing and access, including but not limited to: BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, RADIUS, TACACS, STP, etc.
In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP an absolute requirement
Extensive working experience with Cisco 65xx switches with CatOS and IOS, Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls, Cisco CSS and VPN.
Experience with multi-site routing, peering, and disaster recovery network architectures
Experience with the use and implementation of enterprise monitoring and management frameworks and tools, specifically Solarwinds
Experience working in structured change management processes for highly available datacenter networks
Experience building and configuring the network infrastructure to support and secure major Internet host/network services, including but not limited to: web (http, SSL, etc.), mail (sendmail, etc.), DNS, NFS, databases and Java-based web applications
Firewall/security experience (ACL, GRE/IPsec tunnels, FWSM, IDSM2, and secure remote access/management practices)
