Network Administrator (Boston)

We are currently looking to fill a Network Administrator position for a large technology company in the Cambridge area. This position will report to the VP of Information Technology and Services and will require management responsibilities of a 2 person IT staff.

Responsibilities include:

- Creating and maintaining user and Exchange accounts – rights and security

- Active Directory migration and security set-up

- Daily back-up

- Troubleshooting on-site connectivity

- Imaging, upgrading software and hardware when needed

- Infrastructure upgrades – switches, routers, Server 2003, Exchange 2003, and data storage and disaster

- Maintain firewall

- Install, troubleshoot and repar hardware and wireless networks

- Provide desktop support for specialized software systems

- Supervision of desktop support function

Requirements include:

- 5+ yrs of Network Administration

- 2+ yrs of IT management

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree

- Independent decision-making skills

- High level of problem-solving and urgency

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- MCSE preferred
