TITLE: Information Systems Coordinator
Main Duties:
The Information Systems Coordinator has the responsibility of coordinating the operation of the Information Technology Systems on which Wayside House depends, plus providing the employees with information services that they need to perform their job efficiently. This employee reports to the Facilities Manager
The Information Systems Coordinator will work closely with Wayside House Treatment Center, Supportive Housing, and Incarnation House to provide a smooth operation of multi-user computer system, a secure network infrastructure and cost effective technology solutions to support the mission of the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the network environment of the organization including desktop and laptop computers, end user software, database, websites, email, telecommunications, printers, servers, backup systems, network devices (wireless, firewall, etc.), cabling infrastructure, etc.
Install, configure and monitor local and Virtual Private Network (VPN), hardware and software.
Provide software and hardware technical support and administration to personal computer users.
Install, maintain and upgrade various operating systems and application software.
Provide staff and network administration services such as passwords, electronic mail accounts, security and troubleshooting.
Make sure that the implementation of new systems is handled in a timely matter.
Assess the information processing needs of users.
Establish and maintain a disaster preparedness plan.
Manage outside contractors and/or vendors who assist in maintaining telephone systems, copy machines, computer systems, servers, etc.
Manage and update the organizations database (Microsoft Access based database & donor database) including coordinating and setting access security.
Assist in maintaining the organizations website.
Maintain technology policies and procedures and help revise as necessary.
Keep abreast of trends and advancements in hardware and software technology.
Evaluate new technology for possible use in the organization.
Keep up-to-date inventory of the Technology Information Systems and its infrastructures.
Create, revise and update the technology plan annually.
Report to management on the status of the Information Technology Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related fields. 4 years professional experience considered in lieu of degree.; 10 years experience in Information Systems; Certifications A+; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong skills in Microsoft Access based database, Microsoft Windows Server, MS Exchange. Ability to lift and move equipment up to 30 lbs.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proven record of high performance in problem solving, collaborating, planning/priority setting, timely decision making, perseverance, and a drive for results. Strong interpersonal skills in terms of effective listening, patience, composure, and conflict management. Must be an excellent project manager who has professional poise and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Must work well both independently and collaboratively. Ability to travel to multiple locations with valid Drivers License and Insurance. Ability to pass background study. Flexible hours; ability to be available after hours, on weekends and on call. Ability to work with a diverse population.
