This person will be an experienced IT professional in an IT department or an IT service company looking for an exciting place to work, with growth opportunities to get certified and move up in IT.
Your initial assignment will be Helpdesk Team Member, where you will be responsible for:
Managing the flow of information to technical staff members in the field and on the Helpdesk
Following procedures and documentation consistent with the existing IT management systems, including Connectwise and MS Outlook/Exchange/PDA’s.
Entering, tracking and managing service tickets, equipment orders, and staffing for all company projects and clients
Providing remote client support for PC’s, printers, routers and Windows 2003 & 2008 Terminal Servers. Must have excellent troubleshooting skills as 75% of all work is remote to clients or datacenter.
Providing field support at client sites in Sacramento and the Bay Area for all of the above.

Required knowledge: Microsoft Terminal Services 2003 and 2008, Active Directory, Sonicwall and Firewalls. VPNs, Network Printers(HP, Brother), VMWare ESX (3.5 & 4.0), VCS, MS DNS, Exchange 2007, Anti-Spam, SQL, DFS, Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager. Windows Power Shell.
Desired Knowledge: Dell Equallogic, NetAPP, FalsonStor SAN Appliances, Dell 6000 series switches, , Appsense Environment Manager, Microsoft OPS Manager, Solarwinds, PacketTrap, BlackBerry BES, VLANs, Java, .Net, linux and Vyatta firewals.
What you’ll be doing:
-80-90% Systems Admin/Helpdesk Support(Windows)
-10-20% Systems Engineering/Projects/Infrastructure Maintenance(VMWare, Windows)
– Work at the SMB to large enterprise level with entire Infrastructure/Data Network Environment
– Evaluating/Designing/Implementing for clients onsite virtualization/managed services or Hosted Environments.
