Communications Systems Engineer

The Communications Systems Engineer will be responsible for RF system analysis and design, modem design and implementation, and FEC implementation for the next generation of millimeter wave broadband radios.
Responsibilities:
Lead activities will include: system architecture definition, requirements definition and allocation, performance analysis and simulation, system model and simulation tool development, system design, trade studies, and systems engineering support to hardware design, manufacturing, integration and test.
Must be capable of providing technical expertise and leadership in assigned technical areas.
Work with vendors & internal departments on technical issues related to product development
Interface directly with team & support staff on issues relating to design, layout, procurement, documentation, test & assembly
Manage the communication link and network design as well as link budget analysis
Determine modem and product performance analysis
Qualifications:
BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent (Communication Theory)
5+ yrs of design experience
Experience in telecommunications equipment design with emphasis in RF and digital communication systems design, base-band and digital signal processing, modulation theory, and signal detection and estimation
Expertise in transceiver software/hardware partitioning and architect design
Strong analytical capabilities coupled with practical experience
Strong understanding of components of distortion and bandwidth limitations
Strong team leadership and communication skills a must.
Experience using advanced RF/Microwave/digital test equipment
